Nothing like something simple to make your first post on.  I’m not fan of religion, i put Church of England down on the census form but like most of you my church visits are limited to births, deaths and marriages.

If i had to pick an angry religion i would pick Islam, Muslims seem to be constantly offended about something, it's seems alien for them to understand that people who don’t follow their religion will not automatically respect it, why should they?

Personally i don’t believe an Islamic centre should be built several blocks away from ground zero, i realise it's not the exact location of the twin towers, but it's just too close to where it all happened, there is a good chance peoples body parts landed where this new centre will be.  Allot of people are saying it would go against American bill of rights to deny them the right to build in this location, fair enough, I’m sure the same people won’t mind if a gay bar was opened across the street from the new centre.

I see today there is a lot of hot air in the press about this 'burn the Quran day', if it goes ahead it will upset Muslims, however they cannot use it as an excuse to justify their reactions, whatever they may be.  Whilst i wouldn’t dream of burning the bible, the Quran or any book, at the end of the day to anyone who isn’t a follower of Islam, it’s just a book.
